To uphold the true spirit of Qwan Ki Do, every student at Qwan Ki Do Association, Odisha is expected to follow a structured code of conduct designed to foster discipline, respect, focus, and safety.

Discipline is the foundation of every warrior. Respect is the heart of every martial artist
General Dojo Rules

Punctuality is Discipline

All students must arrive 10 minutes before class begins. Latecomers should wait at the door until invited in.

Bow with Respect

Always bow upon entering and leaving the training hall (dojo) to show respect to the art, the instructor, and fellow practitioners.

Clean Uniform, Clean Mind

Students must wear a clean Qwan Ki Do uniform (võ phục) with proper belt (đai) and maintain personal hygiene.

No Jewelry or Accessories

Remove watches, chains, and other accessories before class for safety.

Silence is Strength

Refrain from unnecessary talking during class. Focus and attention are part of your training.

Follow Instructor Commands

Respect the instructions and guidance of the Sifu (teacher) at all times.

Training Etiquette

Respect Fellow Students

Treat all classmates with kindness and humility, regardless of age, rank, or experience.

No Show-Offs

Martial arts is for defense and growth, not to intimidate or show superiority.

Practice with Control

Techniques must be executed with control, especially during sparring or pair drills.

Ask Before Recording

No video or photo recording during class without permission

Attendance & Promotion Rules
  • 75% Minimum Attendance required for belt grading eligibility.

  • Progress is Earned, Not Given – Grading is based on skill, discipline, attitude, and attendance.

  • Maintain Your ID Card – Each student will be issued a Qwan Ki Do ID, which must be presented during exams and events.

Prohibited Behaviors
  • Disrespect towards instructors or students

  • Using Qwan Ki Do techniques outside the dojo for violence or threats

  • Bringing weapons, food, or outside materials into the training area

  • Posting false achievements or ranks online.

Additional Guidelines

Any violation may lead to warnings, suspension, or permanent removal from the association.

  • Parents/guardians must wait outside the training area unless invited.

  • Mobile phones must be on silent or switched off during training.

  • Participation in association events (camps, tournaments) is encouraged for growth and recognition.
