At Qwan Ki Do Association, Odisha, our training is rooted in discipline, self-control, and respect. To ensure a safe, effective, and inspiring learning environment for all students, we follow essential guidelines that reflect the core values of Qwan Ki Do.

Respect is Fundamental

Always show respect to instructors, fellow students, your uniform, and the training space. Greet with a bow and a positive attitude.

Student Guidelines

Arrive Ready and Prepared

  • Be on time for every class

  • Wear a clean uniform (võ phục) and your correct belt

  • Trim nails and tie hair neatly for safety and hygiene

Be Mentally Present

Pay attention to instructions, avoid distractions, and stay focused throughout the class. Leave outside worries at the door.

Learn with Humility

Every student — beginner or advanced — must train with an open heart and humble mind. Ego has no place in the dojo.

Follow the Progress Pathway

Your journey from white to black belt requires consistency, effort, and patience. Trust the process and progress steadily.

Behavior & Attitude

Training Space Etiquette

  • Train with discipline and dedication

  • Help and encourage younger or less experienced students

  • Accept feedback gracefully — it helps you improve

  • Speak respectfully, always. No shouting, arguing, or foul language

  • Use techniques only in self-defense or during authorized demonstrations

  • Remove footwear before entering the mat/training area

  • Keep the dojo clean – no eating, chewing gum, or littering

  • Avoid leaning on walls or sitting casually during sessions

  • Do not interrupt ongoing demonstrations or class segments

Academic & Personal Growth

  • Maintain good behavior at school and at home

  • Be disciplined in studies and respectful to elders

  • Lead by example in their community
