Guidelines – Qwan Ki Do Association
The Qwan Ki Do Association follows a strict set of guidelines to ensure safety, discipline, and quality in all training activities. These rules help maintain the integrity of our art and create a respectful learning environment for everyone.
General Conduct
- Show respect to instructors, fellow students, and visitors.
- Bow upon entering and leaving the training hall (Dojo/Do Duong).
- Follow the instructions of the instructor without argument.
- Maintain discipline and avoid disruptive behavior.
Attendance & Punctuality
- Arrive at least 10 minutes before class begins.
- Inform your instructor if you are unable to attend.
- Regular attendance is required for gradings & tournaments.
Uniform & Equipment
- Wear the official Qwan Ki Do uniform (Võ phục), clean & neat.
- Belt must be tied correctly, representing your rank.
- Use only approved training weapons and safety gear.
Training Etiquette
- Always warm up before practice & cool down after sessions.
- Practice with control to prevent injury.
- Respect the training space and keep it clean.
- Never misuse martial arts skills outside training.
Safety Rules
- No sparring without certified instructor supervision.
- Report any injury immediately to your instructor.
- Remove jewelry and sharp objects before training.
- Keep nails trimmed for safety.
Gradings & Competitions
- Meet required training hours before applying for gradings.
- Participate with a spirit of sportsmanship.
- Follow association rules for events & tournaments.
Disciplinary Actions
Failure to follow these guidelines may result in verbal warnings, suspension, or expulsion from the association, depending on the severity of the violation.
